00: Time to move from hotel #1 (close to the airport) to hotel #2, which is closer to town.
00: I marched mister into town. It’s quite an interesting experience to visit a Latin America country with a Spanish-speaker.
00: San Jose is quite different from the other Latin American capitals I’ve been – there aren’t as many signs of Spanish colonialism. Mercado Central was quite an adventure (not a super one). Too bad I wasn’t hungry at that point.
00: Mister did enjoy some of the more elegant buildings, like the ornate architecture of the post office. We also walked into a cathedral, and mister was impressed.
00: Ice cream break. There’s also a bike path going through San Jose’s downtown. Weather started looking nasty, so it’s time to Uber back to the hotel.
